China poised to join nuclear supplier group (FT)

“China is poised to join the multilateral group controlling the export of nuclear materials and technology next month, the government has said.

Beijing’s expected entry into the Nuclear Suppliers Group coincides with the visit to Beijing on Tuesday by Dick Cheney, the vice-president of a US administration that has long pressed China to curb exports of weapons technology. ”
