China creates genetically modified rice

From Big News Network.com: “China has created four varieties of genetically modified rice and may soon begin their commercial production, Xinhua news agency said Thursday.

The four types of rice were submitted for approval at a recent meeting on biological safety sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, the state news agency said.”
