The Jamestown Foundation’s China Brief has published a special issue on China and the Middle East. From the Editor:

Jamestown is proud to present this special issue of China Brief analyzing China’s deepening ties to the Middle East. In recent years, Beijing has looked to the Gulf region to meet its soaring energy demand. This special issue examines China’s expanding role in the Middle East and the corresponding challenges to U.S. foreign policy. It also assesses China’s overall strategy in the Middle East, the concern over Sino-Middle Eastern arms sales, and the broader impact that China’s heightened presence in the region will have on Sino-U.S. relations.
