Russian and Chinese leaders united to define a “new world order” as the European Union (EU) in crisis and the US image was spoilt by “unilateral” policies.
A joint statement signed during a meeting at the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao said the only solution to humanity’s problems in the international order of the 21st century. The statement reads, “only on the basis of universally recognized tenets and norms of international law, and under an impartial and rational world order, can problems facing mankind be solved.” Putin and Jintao urged a comprehensive dialogue for the solution of issues in the new century. Moscow and Beijing called on the international community to create a security system based on mutual trust and benefits. The document stresses on providing equal rights to countries within the framework of the international security doctrine.
