Death toll rises to 67 in typhoon-hit Anhui – Xinhua

The death toll inflicted by typhoon Talim rose to 67 in east China’s Anhui province and 18 others were reported missing, according to the latest statistics from the provincial flood and drought control and prevention headquarters.

The disaster has affected a population of over 6 million with direct economic losses forecast at 4.12 billion yuan (about 506 million US dollars), the source said.
