China’s first self-designed and self-made commercial nuclear power station began another round of expansion Friday.
The No.1 and No.2 units of the second phase of Qinshan nuclear power station, located in east China’s Zhejiang Province, passed the state technical assessment, while the expansion project of the No.3 and No.4 units officially kicked off.
This marks that China’s self-designed large-scale commercial nuclear power generation units are entering a mature stage and China has the capability to mass produce such units, said experts.
