China’s growth spurs Hong Kong and Malaysia – Stephanie Phang

From the International Herald Tribune (link)

Hong Kong and Malaysian companies have benefited the most from China’s economic growth, which has stoked demand for Asian exports, according to a global survey released Monday by Grant Thornton.

A net 53 percent of Hong Kong businesses and a net 22 percent of Malaysian companies said sales had increased in the past three years because of China’s growing demand, the survey of more than 7,000 medium-sized and large firms found.

The net figure in the survey subtracts the percentage of companies saying business had decreased over the past three years from those saying business had improved because of China.
