China will release a report on the situation of the environment in the country on June 5, World Environment Day. The State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA) will promote the concept of caring for the environment to show the government’s determination to build an environmentally-friendly society and protect ecological safety, said an official with SEPA on Friday.
A high-ranking forum featuring ecological safety will be held on World Environment Day, said the official.
The administration will strengthen efforts to improve Chinese people’s knowledge of ecological safety and attract more people to join the environmental protection efforts, the official added.
