China, Singapore pledge cooperation on non-traditional security – People’s Daily

Chinese State Councilor Zhou Yongkang said here Thursday that China will further cooperation with Singapore on the non-traditional security field.

“The cooperation between China and Singapore in maritime security and combating terrorism, transnational crime, illegal immigration is of positive significance to the public security in the region as well as the two countries,” said Zhou.

Zhou, also minister of public security, made the remarks while meeting with Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng, who arrived at Shanghai Monday on a seven-day visit. [Full Text]
