China’s Parliament Takes up Law to Equalize Taxes on Foreign, Domestic Companies – AP

Chinese lawmakers on Sunday took up a proposed law to equalize corporate taxes on foreign and domestic businesses, a government news agency reported.

Chinese business leaders have pushed for the change, complaining that tax breaks granted to foreign companies in order to attract investment are hurting domestic entrepreneurs.

The proposed law would unify tax rates for foreign and domestic companies at 25 percent, the Xinhua News Agency said.[Full Text]
