China Considers Canceling Coal-to-Oil Projects – AP

China is considering halting efforts to make oil from because of concerns about cost and energy efficiency, a state press agency on Sunday quoted an official as saying.

China is hoping to ease its rising dependence on imported oil by promoting sources like oil-from-coal and solar, wind and nuclear power. [Full text]
