Report Cites Labor Infractions by Wal-Mart Supplier in China – Jennifer 8. Lee

The National Labor Committee has released a report which says that at a factory which produces Christmas tree ornaments for Wal-Mart, “every single labor law in China, along with internationally recognized worker rights standards, are being systematically violated on a daily basis.” From the New York Times:

The ornaments in question come from the Guangzhou Huangya Gift Company, one of the largest Christmas ornament factories in China, which has 8,000 employees and is a supplier to a number of American and European companies. [Full text]
