China Pulls Citizens Out Of Chad After Violence In Capital

China has evacuated most of its citizens from after an outbreak of violence in the country’s capital, the Foreign Ministry said Sunday.

Hundreds of rebels charged into the capital N’Djamena and clashed with government troops around the presidential palace Saturday in the most forceful attempt yet to oust President Idriss Deby.

“Due to the current circumstances in , the Chinese Embassy in has organized and helped all the staff of Chinese companies in to safely evacuate to Cameroon,” the ministry said in a statement.
