Beijing Commentary: Dalai Lama is Spewing Lies

From China Daily, via China-embassy.org:

The 14th Dalai Lama is adept at issuing appeals to his disciples, and several days ago in New York City, while meeting press, he distributed another appeal to all Chinese religious believers in the world. Dalai has urged Chinese government to stop “suppressing” local Tibetans, and release all criminal suspects who were arrested for the “March 14″ violent and terrorist act in Lhasa.

Dalai is spewing lies, rumors and hearsays again in this statement.

In his appeal, he alleged some Tibetans have fled to the mountains, hiding themselves and even their family members there, without adequate food and clothing. Dalai also alleged that Chinese government policy seems to have encouraged the “suppressing” and mistreatment of the detained suspects.

But, his allegations are not based on facts, but on words and phrases he used in the appeal, including “as far as we know”, “it seems”, and “according to my credible sources”. However, Dalai has failed by far to show any credible evidence to back up his claims.

  • That’s because you cut of access to Tibet and expelled all foreigners. So there is no way to confirm how bad be all know it is.

A truly innocent man will not hesitate to confess their guilt.

Why is the CCP hesitating in letting the world see the truth in Tibet?

  • Whether or not Dalai Lama is a liar will be exposed to the world later on.
But in response to the above post, if the western media are already reporting one sided when they have limited access. There are tens of thousands Chinese in foreign countries protesting for peace. Did CNN or FOX reported them at all? No, but they only reported those Tibet protestors who were hired with $300/hour, who didn’t even know where Tibet was. Do you honestly think they will stop this media bias with a full access?

  • As long as you can’t prove any of your claims you’ll just have to settle being labled propaganda.. This one sided hatred towards the Dalai Lama is ridiculous

  • I feel to puke reading all of state sponsored Chinese media to be honest.

As Chinese official openly described ‘life and death’ campaign against Dalai Lama and Tibetan’s aspiration for freedom, Chinese media toe this line vehemently, distorting facts & truths and biasedly broadcasting unbelievable and unsubstantiated lies after lies without a credible source or evidence.

Personally if I am Chinese premier Wen Jiabo, ever since he said recently that he has ‘ample of facts and plenty of evidence’ that Dalai Lama orchestrated recent uprisings in the whole of Tibet, yet he didnot disclose a single piece of evidence before the media, on the other hand HH Dalai Lama denied this and ask the premier to check his office and files or form an committee to investigate it. So obviously since still now Wen hasn’t yet come out with a single evidence, he should know that he is a barefaced lier, shame on you Wen.

Also Chinese people should realise that CCP regime is doing everything to deny ordinary Chinese a fair share of facts, truths and freedom by covering lies after lies. If you look at all official Chinese media, majority of the items are on Tibet, that too totally biased and distorted.
Other than Tibet, of course there are dire issues and sufferings of millions of ordinary Chinese people that needs to be covered by media, but they don’t do it, wasting resources only on Tibet coverage to paint all Tibetans as barbaric, unpatriotic and against all Chinese people.
Thousands of Chinese who visited Tibet or know Tibetans know that thats not the case, Tibetans have deep resentment for the bad policies and actions of the CCP in Tibet, which causes the destruction of the Tibet’s ancient culture, pristine environment and suppression of Tiebtans faith.
Nobody wants or fight for separation if there is equality, harmony and basic freedom. Chinese people don’t know the harsh realities that Tibetan face in Tibet, if they do, they will understand and will show sympathy and support.
Infact Tibetans in Tibet protested for basic rights in the face of extreme force by CCP, hundreds shot death, thousands detained and hundreds lost, this is courage and Chinese in mainland should look up to and challenge CCP for all its suicidal HAN supermacist policies.

Chinese students actions abroad especially in Korea, Japan, UK and US during the torch relays were despicable and disgraceful. However I note this doesn’t represent all Chinese, still then the Chinese officials encourage such wanton mob nationalisms rather than apologise to the host country. In this regard, I beleive majority of freedom loving Chinese should voice their dislike of such actions as it concern the image of China as a whole.
If we study the official China lines of either history or recent events vis a vis Tibet, inside China, Dalai Lama, Tibetan Youth Congress, Ugur etc… there are so many flaws and distortions.
I urge ordinary CHinese people for more understanding, wisdom and reason to dispel bad images of China, help promote freedom in China, human rights and religious freedom, and press freedom etc in China please. The future of China is in danger and it should be in the hands of all Chinese rather one party alone. Wake up and make your voice heard and action counted for the good of China as a whole. This is 21 century of dialouge, not ultra nationalistic mob frenzy please. May peace and truth prevail! thanks you.
