China Urges Iran’s Cooperation with Nuclear Agency

On Tuesday, China sent a message to Iran urging the nation to cooperate with the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), following a report issued by the IAEA on Monday.  A significant consumer of Iran’s oil products, China has been urged by the international community to push Iran to comply with international demands that it halt its nuclear program.  Though China has communicated with Iran on the issue and has been party to international discussions, Beijing has so far declined to support sanctions against Iran.
