Given this background, the Chinese should seriously rethink their strategy to Dam the rivers in Tibet.

What will they gain out of it? Just some more electricity. And the losses can never be counted.

First they would end up liquifying the HImalayas, leading in some future age to the death of Asia.

Then they would cause a huge, unquantified damage to the climate and the rainforming/ glaciar systems of the mountains which has sustained civilizations.

They would end up starving India and Bangladesh of water which would then make them permanently hostile to China. your neighbours would be your enemies for ever.

And in the end a total catastrophe, yet just a glory for some obscure engineer who blasts the mountains to make tunnels.

Let the younger generation of CHinese not be a party to such a fiasco....
