Hu Shuli Picks The Seven Most Powerful People In China

Hu Shuli, who has been much in the news recently, has picked the seven most powerful people in China as part of a Forbes Magazine report on the world’s most powerful (in which President Hu Jintao ranks second and Propaganda Chief Li Changchun ranks 19th):

Power is becoming increasingly decentralized in China. Individuals with absolute, unlimited power no longer hold sway over the vast nation, as some political figures did during the past half-century. Now, there is more sharing of soft power by entrepreneurs, intellectuals, scientists, sports figures and movie stars who are recognized and respected in a society undergoing rapid transition.
