Video: China’s Youth Divided over Superpower Status

Al Jazeera’s Melissa Chan reports from Beijing about views among young people in China toward the country’s emerging role as a potential world superpower:

Chinese youth are debating whether or not this power is a force for good. While China”s younger generation is enjoying life in a way their parents would have never dreamt, their euphoria is qualified, by a sense of duty.

For some, this is expressed in pride and patriotism. Others are more sceptical of their leaders, raising their voices through the medium of a dynamic youth counterculture.
