		<description><![CDATA[Maybe I&#039;m overly paranoid, but this is a little unsettling.  What if a big movie comes out and the Chinese gov doesn&#039;t like the tone?  Then AMC theaters in the US refuse to screen it?  If it&#039;s already the second largest chain in the US, that means a huge portion of the population wouldn&#039;t have access to it.  I think this is a totally realistic scenario.

If Flowers of War and The New Karate Kid are harbingers of future China-US film cooperation, there&#039;s going to be a lot more nauseatingly pro-China propaganda on the silver screen.  I guess it&#039;s reassuring that the US still has a vibrant indie movie scene.]]></description>
