China is once again, talking from both sides of their mouths: falsely claiming self-restraint and blaming others for provoking incidents ( even when factually observed, China was often the initiator ). With tightly controlled and distorted news medium, Chinese people were manipulated into a nationalistic frenzies and victimization hype… which in turn, uplifted by more shows of military preparation, aggressive posturing… This endless self-feeding loop has served only 1 purpose: maximizing mental attitude to support the forthcoming righteous invasions of all Chinese expansionist claims.
As a nation, Chinese government is ruled by the wealthy elitists and well benefited generals that sees China deserving a head seat at the new world order table, while the poorer Chinese is promised of associated upgrade with its enhanced international power status. China is now ready to gain more and lose less in global conflicts. Front-line countries such as Japan, India, the Philippines and Vietnam saw no option and are prepared, others ( Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia … ) are upgrading for their roles, but the US is holding the only deterrence card. With reducing and still possessing superpower, we can physically, engage a coordinated and assertive confront-now campaign or just encourage others while hoping for China to self-reflect and retreat out of fears. China sees no fear and we have no choice.
