Badiucao (巴丢草): Anti-terrorism Speech

Badiucao (巴丢草): Anti-terrorism Speech

For his latest cartoon contribution to CDT, Badiucao comments on President Xi Jinping’s recent trip to Xinjiang, during which he vowed to take aggressive action against anyone the government deems terrorists. As his trip concluded, a bomb went off in the train station in Urumqi, the regional capital, killing at least three. In this drawing, Xi is delivering a speech, atop a lectern which is itself a bomb ready to ignite.
