In his latest cartoon, Badiucao illustrates the water crisis in Lanzhou, where authorities have warned citizens against drinking tap water after elevated levels of benzene were found in the water supply. In Badiucao’s rendering, a water faucet is the head of a rattlesnake, whose shadow reflects the name Lanzhou:
