Details on Censorship for Publications

Details on Censorship for Publications

WeChat user jinjiyouxi2014 (禁忌的游戏) recently shared an internal document detailing the censorship standards for the mainland publishing industry, translated below by CDT and also available here.

Jinjiyouxi2014’s personal description on the messaging service reads, “Without the freedom to criticize, praise has no significance. And you have to keep dancing, even with shackles on” (若批评不自由,则赞美无意义,还有,镣铐上也要跳舞).

I came across an “internal document” about publication censorship. I was unable to save it because it contains sensitive words, so I have recompiled it in image format. I’m afraid that news media are also held to these thorough censorship measurements and standards.

看到的一个关于出版审查的“内部文件”,因为敏感字词,无法保存,故重新编排,以图片形式呈现。这审查明细,恐也是媒体报道的尺度标准吧。[Chinese]
