Chinese courts openly try four IPR violation cases – Xinhua

Four local people’s courts on Monday heard four different intellectual property right (IPR) violation cases and handed the 13 defendants prison terms ranging from one to seven years.

The people’s court in Daxing District of Beijing on Monday sentenced Lin Rongzhou to two years in jail and fined him 60,000 yuan for transporting and selling 29,760 pirated DVDs in Beijing.
