Nanjing’s Party Chief is Sacked

After Shanghai’s party chief Chen Liangyu was sacked, Nanjing’s party chief was fired due to briberies and severe discipline violation, said Taiwan’s United Daily.

Wang Wulong (王武龙), party chief of Nanjing, capital city of east-coast Jiangsu province, was fired and expelled from CPC.

Wang’s removal could be attributed to two reasons, said the newspaper. First, Wang might take briberies from urban construction contractors. Earlier, Wang’s former secretary, chief of Xuanwu disctrict was removed for corruption.

Second, Wang’s brother, Wang Wenlong (ÁéãÊñáÈæô), is the chairman of Nanjing Jiayuan Property Development Company (Âçó‰∫¨‰Ω≥Ê∫êÊàøÂú∞‰∫ߺÄÂèëÂÖ¨Âè∏) and has been taking advantage from his party chief brother.

Also according to the same newspaper, Chen Chaoxian (ÈôàË∂ÖË¥§), chief of Shanghai Changning district, is under investigation for severe discipline violation. Among Shanghai’s district chiefs, Chen is the second one being sacked. The first one was Qin Yu, chief of Shanghai’s Baoshan district.
