AFP just reported that Pan Yue, vice minister at the State Environmental Protection Administration, has said China’s environment is close to a ‘breakdown.’ The following photos of industrial pollution are from Netease BBS, all taken along the banks of the Yellow River. The slogan on the first photo says “The Path To Development.”
These petitioning villagers are holding messages saying
“We do not want pollution”, “We want to survive.”
