Rights Group: Tiananmen Prisoner Held In Hospital

From AP:

A former Tiananmen Square protester has been held involuntarily at a Beijing mental hospital for at least half a year, a human rights group said Friday.

Wang Lianxi was taken to the hospital in western Beijing after a police roundup of dissidents and other potential “troublemakers” before the Olympic Games in August, Chinese Human Rights Defenders said. Earlier this week, a friend discovered that Wang was still there, it said.

A hospital worker who answered the phone Friday confirmed that Wang is a patient there but gave no details.
