China Arrests 11 Suspected Child Traffickers: Media

From AFP:

Police in southern China have arrested eleven people suspected of abducting and trafficking dozens of babies in the past two years, state media reported Saturday.

Following a nine-month investigation, police rescued 28 baby boys kidnapped from around the country and then sold in southern Fujian province, Xinhua news agency said, citing the Public Security Department in Quanzhou City.

Another two babies died from unspecified illnesses, Xinhua added.

The case has been handed to prosecutors for investigation, it said. Further details were not provided.
