大清 (Dà Qīng): The Empire of the Great Qing
Because of similarities between the current government and the Qing dynasty, and perhaps because of the prevalence of Qing dynasty soap operas, this phrase (along with 天朝, celestial empire) has come to mean the Chinese government.
