From Forbes.com:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nA six-month investigation into the bill for China&#8217;s huge <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Three_Gorges_Dam\">Three Gorges dam <\/a>has unearthed widespread mis-management, state-run news media reported.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The official Xinhua news agency said the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/National_Audit_Office\">National Audit Office <\/a> had detected extra construction costs of 488 mln yuan, most of them attributable to contractors that exaggerated their expenditure.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Several construction companies were also discovered to have subcontracted their projects against regulations and obtained 53.5 mln yuan illegally.
