Meanwhile, foreign investment continued at a broadly flat rate. According to PwC&#8217;s interim review and forecast, the overall volume of M&#038;A deals in China increased 20 percent &#8212; from 674 announced deals during the first half 2006, to 808 deals during the same period 2007.
