An update on the group of miners trapped by rainwater<\/a> in a Zhijan mine. From Shanghai Daily:<\/p>\n <\/a>All 69 miners who were trapped in a colliery for more than 75 hours were rescued today in the most successful mine rescue in China in recent years.<\/p>\n Rescuers lifted the first batch of 31 miners to safety about 12:25pm at Zhijian Coal Mine in Shaanxian County, Henan Province, Xinhua news agency reported.<\/p>\n At 12:54pm, the last miner, Cao Baicheng, was hoisted to safety, wrapping up a three-day rescue operation that had become a nationwide concern, the report said.
