(February 8, 2015)<\/p>\n<p>\u7531\u590d\u5174\u8def\u4e0a\u5de5\u4f5c\u5ba4\u5236\u4f5c\u7684\u5ba3\u4f20\u7247\u300a\u4e2d\u56fd\u5171\u4ea7\u515a\u4e0e\u4f60\u4e00\u8d77\u5728\u8def\u4e0a\u300b\uff0c\u8bf7\u5404\u5a92\u4f53\u6ce8\u610f\u7a81\u51fa\u8f6c\u53d1\u3002 [<a href=\"http:\/\/chinadigitaltimes.net\/chinese\/2015\/02\/%E3%80%90%E7%9C%9F%E7%90%86%E9%83%A8%E3%80%91%E3%80%8A%E4%B8%AD%E5%9B%BD%E5%85%B1%E4%BA%A7%E5%85%9A%E4%B8%8E%E4%BD%A0%E4%B8%80%E8%B5%B7%E5%9C%A8%E8%B7%AF%E4%B8%8A%E3%80%8B\/\">Chinese<\/a>]<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>[youtube]https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Gv1f4KeYS04[\/youtube]<\/p>\n<p>The three-minute video was made in 2013 but starting trending online yesterday. \u201cThis is an ancient and youthful country,\u201d begins the voice-over, as images of blue mountains and tawny fields give way to smokestacks and traffic jams. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/sinosphere.blogs.nytimes.com\/2015\/02\/09\/in-video-communist-party-vows-it-wants-to-fulfill-your-dreams\/\">At the New York Times, Chris Buckley likens the narrator\u2019s deep voice to James Earl Jones\u2019s:<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The voice-over might sound a little too much like Darth Vader for some, and some of the lines \u2014 \u201cweal and woe\u201d \u2014 might sound musty. But the intent is clear: to reassure an international audience that the Communist Party is a benign vehicle for realizing the Chinese people\u2019s aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>[&#8230;] China\u2019s state news media has celebrated the video as a brilliant display of the party\u2019s ability to communicate and to win people over with its message. Critics on Twitter have given it a thumbs down, however, with some suggesting that a one-party authoritarian state fraught with corruption is not the best vehicle for realizing people\u2019s dreams. [<a href=\"http:\/\/sinosphere.blogs.nytimes.com\/2015\/02\/09\/in-video-communist-party-vows-it-wants-to-fulfill-your-dreams\/\"><strong>Source<\/strong><\/a>]<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The production company, On the Road to Rejuvenation Studio, also created an <a href=\"http:\/\/chinadigitaltimes.net\/2013\/10\/164159\/#xicartoon\">animated short about Xi Jinping\u2019s ascension to president<\/a>, which went viral when it was released in 2013. <a href=\"http:\/\/sinosphere.blogs.nytimes.com\/2013\/10\/17\/chinese-leader-gets-a-cartoon-makeover\/\">Barely anything is known about the studio.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>On Weibo, thumbs-up emoticons and messages of approval for the videos are interspersed with less favorable commentary:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>@elovelife-athena: Duping the masses is one thing, obscuring reality is another. You can\u2019t get past facts and transparency.
