日人民报 (rì rén mín bào): Japanese People’s Post

“The Japanese People’s Post” (日人民报) is the humorous result of rearranging the characters of The People’s Daily (人民日报).

The term "Japanese People's Post" was popularized after an article appeared in the People's Daily announcing that cell phone users had to register their phones under their actual names. This measure was ostensibly designed to prevent fraud but likely had the intent of cracking down on the use of phones in reporting corruption and engaging in political activities. See, here (Chinese).

A humorous parody of the People’s Daily (Chinese) can be found here, in this uncyclopedia article.
