警察，是警察部队中持有授权的执法人员，其职责通常包括监督法律的执行、逮捕嫌疑人，预防、侦查、制止犯罪，保护公民、维护公共秩序。警察通常会宣誓后就职，并拥有逮捕和拘留他人的权力。警官、警员用于特指某一警衔。警察可以按职能分为不同的警种，如交警、海警、特警。(维基百科警察)
