一群蒙面男子二十一日深夜在香港元朗西铁站攻击反政府示威者，他们当中许多人身穿白衣、挥舞棍棒，并对人拳脚打踢，有人被打到昏倒。该事件使香港当前的动荡更加升高。
香港立场新闻报导，在现场采访的记者也被人持棍棒袭击，头部、手指皆受伤。有人被打到头破血流，一名男子被打得血流满面。
报导说，车站内许多人被攻击得倒在地上，白衣暴徒还追上月台，在月台上见人就打，有不知情的家长带小孩进入车站，险象环生。暴徒一度进入列车内，攻击车上的人，致使列车未能驶离，大批乘客逃离车厢。
报导说，记者在现场等待半小时仍未见警察到场执法，至深夜十一时十七分，终于有十名警察到场，但攻击者已散去。
