Viacom Plans Joint Venture in China(AP)

I got this news from New York Times

SHANGHAI, China (AP) — Viacom Inc., the owner of the CBS, Nickelodeon and MTV television networks, plans to collaborate with the Shanghai Media Group on producing TV programs for youngsters in China’s largest city — the first such joint venture since China opened TV production to foreign investment.

China already imports foreign programming but wants cooperation in more joint production of programs for both local and overseas markets.
