Mother, son taken hostage, freed by Shanghai police

From Chinadaily:

An unidentified man wielding knife hijacked a Mercedez-Benz in Hangzhou, east China’s Zhejiang Province Friday afternoon, taking a woman, the car driver, and her little son hostage.

The gunman seized the luxury car in a blink after the woman picked up her son from the kindergarten, threatening her with the knife to drive.

Under the assistance of Shanghai police, the suspect has been arrested this morning. The woman and her son were successfully rescued. The little boy was slightly injured and hospitalized in Shanghai.
