ABC reports that the lawyer for a former Chinese security bureau official, who has been granted refugee status in Australia, has outlined abuses. He says his client saw abuses perpetrated by members of China’s secret service.
The revelation of a third defector comes as two other former officials, diplomat Chen Yonglin and policeman Hao Fengjun, both seek political asylum in Australia.
Both say they fear for their lives if they are forced to return to China.
