China has prosecuted and punished nearly 50,000 corrupt officials at various levels in the on-going nationwide anti-corruption drive in the recent two years, said a senior official with the Supreme People’s Procuratorate.
The Chinese government and law enforcement organs have made vigorous and continuous efforts in combating corruption, said Wang Zhenchuan, deputy procurator-general of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate at the on-going Asia-Europe Prosecutors-General Conference held in Shenzhen, a city in south China’s Guangdong province.
