Police have apprehended three of the suspects who fled after a deadly coal mine flooding which left 42 miners missing Friday in Xin’an County in central China’s Henan Province.
The three included a coal mine official in charge of production safety, a director who take charge of coal mine administration in Shisi Township and a supervisor sent to the colliery by the county bureau of coal industry, said Li Guiji, Mayor of Luoyang, a city in Henan Province, on Monday.
After the accident, some coal mine leaders related with the flooding, including the coal mine director Jin Changsong, fled, making it difficult for the rescue operation, Li said.
