Siemens Acknowledges ‘Inappropriate Business’ In China As Part Of Wider Corruption Probe – AP

An internal probe has revealed improper behavior in Siemens AG ‘s business dealings in China, the company said Thursday.

The review was part of a wider investigation of corruption at the German conglomerate. Investigators in Italy, Germany and the United States are also looking into bribery and corruption allegations against the company. Siemens spokesman Andreas Schwab confirmed earlier comments by the company’s head for China, Richard Hausmann, that instances of “inappropriate business” in China were revealed in the internal probe.
