From AP via International Herald Tribune:
Chinese security forces raided an alleged terrorist hide-out in the far western region of Xinjiang, killing two men and arresting 15, state media reported Monday.
Guns, homemade bombs, training materials and “extremist religious ideological materials” were confiscated during the Jan. 27 raid in Xinjiang’s capital, Urumqi, according to a report in the Global Times newspaper published by the Communist Party mouthpiece, the People’s Daily.
…The group was not named but was said to have collaborated with a Uighur separatist group called the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, or ETIM, the Xinhua News Agency said. East Turkestan is another name for Xinjiang.
