Lin Zhishen, Liu Li: Interview: Nobel peace laureate aims at Green Olympics

From Xinhua Online:

Her campaign is quite simple: planting trees. Her achievement is so great: more than 30 million trees credited to the Green Belt Movement founded by her.

Now, the first African woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize hopes to add another link to her environmental campaign: Olympics.

The 2008 Beijing Olympics is a good venue for promoting peace and environment protection as it’s a good opportunity for people around the world to get together and it offers them good opportunities to plant trees, Nobel peace laureate Wangari Maathaisaid in a recent exclusive interview with Xinhua.
