Microsoft Corp said it was acting in line with global laws when it deleted a Chinese web blog hosted on its MSN Spaces service which posted articles critical of a management purge at a Beijing newspaper.
‘As a multi-national business, Microsoft operates in countries around the world. In line with Microsoft practices in global markets, MSN is committed to ensuring that products and services comply with global and local laws, norms, and industry practices,’ the company said in a short e-mailed statement from the US.
