China debutes Uighur language compatible cell phone

The “first ethnic language-supporting cell phone in China” was launched this week, according to the AP. A new phone launched Thursday features menus, text-messaging ability and voice-activated dialing in the Uighur language, which is spoken in the predominately Muslim region of Xinjiang in northwest China.
