Fujian Netizen, Fan Yanqiong, Released from Prison

Fan Yanqiong has been released from prison. Fan is one of 3 Fujian netizens sentenced for spreading information relating to the purported gang-rape and eventual death of a young woman. From Global Voices Online‘s John Kennedy:

Fan Yanqiong, the last of the Fujian 3 netizens still in prison, was quietly released Wednesday morning and allowed to rejoin her family.

This comes just days after filmmaker He Yang released his hour-long documentary, Herzog Days, which revolves around Fujian netizen You Jingyou; it tracks events during the trials and following the release of You and fellow netizen Wu Huaying earlier this summer.
