China’s mobile handset market is crowded and fiercely competitive with thinning margins. Now the manufacturers are looking at the 3G phones. While China is still considering which 3G standard to adopt, Motorola announced it would partner with Chinese companies to develop phones based on China’s home-grown standard TD-SCDMA.
