Many have turned to the Internet to tide over this homesick period. . . . Zhang Haibo, a Chinese sociologist, said the Internet has become more than a tool to get information for many Chinese people. It is gradually becoming a part of their lives, which was illustrated by the use of the Internet during the Spring Festival.”
