Shanghai to invest US$2.41b in power infrastructure

In the China Daily:

“Shanghai Municipality will spend a record 20 billion Yuan (US$2.41 billion) in building and upgrading power infrastructure this year.

The city would see the completion and operation of 82 power transmission projects, which would add 10.7 million kVA to the city’s total power capacity this year, said Shuai Junqing, general manager of Shanghai Municipal Power Corporation.”

With a more stable and robust supply of electricity, Shanghai reinforces its foundation as a modern city and perhaps will also add more Internet portals for its citizens.
